Kölcsey Television is a regional television channel of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, which started its operation in 1999. Its headquarters are located in Nyíregyháza. As part of the digital switchover in the region, the channel also switched to digital broadcasting after Nyíregyháza Television, and from the end of 2013 it has been broadcasting some of its programmes in HD quality in 1080i resolution.
Kölcsey Television's main focus is to produce and broadcast its own programmes, to assess viewer needs and to provide credible information. In addition to a daily twenty-minute fresh public affairs magazine, sports news and live, interactive studio programmes shown on weekdays, they boast more than fifteen in-house produced programmes. There are also theatre broadcasts, concert films and Hungarian cinema.
