UESTV is an associative and non-profit television project of the universities of the State of Chile, whose purpose is to generate the first national network of educational, cultural and university television in the new scenario of digital terrestrial television.
UESTV is an alliance of Chilean universities, which collects the successful experiences of educational and university television in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Japan, Canada and the United States of America. This network of television stations is managed from a central programming office that will broadcast through pay TV until 2017 and later through regional digital terrestrial television signals (DTT).
